The Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway

Dear Visitor
Thank you for taking the time to visit our site and to express an interest in making a donation to our funds. We have several projects which need funding at this time. Whilst we can and do approach local authorities and other funding organisations for money, our main funding comes from operating a Preserved Railway for the enjoyment of the public and our members.

Our Members have contributed immensely to both the running costs and the provision of the rolling stock we use. To enable us to continue and improve our services we are always in need of more funds.
 
Signal Box Project Appeal.
We have been offered an 1894 Signal Box together with it's lever frame, GWR furniture and a couple of Signals. We aim to restore this box, which is one of only three of its type remaining, back to full working order and install it at Chinnor to operate all our Points and Signals.

This project will be of enormous importance for when operations out of Princes Risborough - see below - commence. The Box is currently in a Berkshire Garden and we will be carrying out restoration work there whilst new foundations are built at Chinnor.

Project Risborough Appeal.  
With your help we can make the return of steam to Princes Risborough a reality.  
 
We have, at long last, reached agreement with Network Rail for a 99 year lease on the land and track. The money to pay for this and the associated legal expenses has already been raised.  
 
We now need the money necessary to carry out the work required to upgrade the track, reinstate the bay platform at PR station and to lay some sidings which NW Rail  need for storage of track maintenance equipment. 
 
Every little helps. All donations, no matter whether they be large or small are gratefully received and will be individually acknowledged.
